This is according to the New York Times, which reports that Lord & Taylor and Walmart are both referring to the new online store as a premium destination, reflecting both Lord & Taylor's need to reach a broader audience, and for Walmart to attract higher net worth individuals.
More than 125 premium brands, including Tommy Bahama, Vince Camuto, Miss Selfridge, La La Anthony and H Halston, will soon be available on a dedicated Lord & Taylor site on Walmart.com, the companies said on Tuesday.
After announcing last month that it would be overhauling its website, Walmart revealed today that it will begin to roll out "in the coming weeks" its redesigned online shop with the partnership of Lord & Taylor. Walmart has been expanding its online shopping to compete with Amazon. "The new experience is aligned with how customers shop the category, with editorial elements that inspire customers to browse and buy, and has already generated positive customer response", said Denise Incandela, head of fashion, Walmart U.S. eCommerce.
The clothing that Walmart sells will live under the "everyday brands" tab, and the Lord & Taylor assortment will live under the "premium brands" tab. Or maybe it's Walmart.com that's offering shoppers a reason rethink Lord & Taylor. "We are excited for the opportunity to serve exponentially more customers with our premium fashion offerings, including our famous dress selection and many stylish brands". Orders $35 and up will be eligible for free two-day shipping.

A spokesman at Spirit Airlines told CBS11, Spirit has been advised of this matter and will cooperate fully with law enforcement. Authorities say beginning in 2016 the group used their positions to bypass security and place the meth on flights.
The new Walmart.com is nearly here.
