After a weekend spent vying for peace, U.S. President Donald Trump is punching back against actor Robert De Niro, calling him a "low IQ individual".

And, after the f-bombs at the Tonys on Sunday night, it looks like De Niro is staying true to his word about speaking out. He said in Toronto: "I just want to make a note of apology for the idiotic behaviour of my president". "It's a disgrace.

De Niro got a standing ovation from the audience.

This was not the first time the Oscar-winning actor attacked Trump so publicly - and so colorfully. "I watched him last night and truly believe me may be 'punch-drunk'".
