Elijah Wood Unveils Trailer For His VR Ubisoft Game ‘Transference’

Transference was a curiosity at Ubisoft's E3 2018 conference past year.

Transference's Ubisoft Montreal has already partnered up with film production company Spectrevision, and actors and actresses such as Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller & Lisa Whalen are to tell character-driven stories and create mystery.

The game revolves around an experiment developed by a troubled scientist that is made from the brain data of his three family members.

Players will experience the limits of techno-psychology and escape a maze-like puzzle concealing a corrupted truth.

Transference will be launching for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in autumn 2018. And it won't just be a VR game, as it was originally announced: Wood and game director Benoit Richer said during the show that it's also coming to traditional platforms. Will the gap between movies and VR games be thoroughly obliterated, or will your sanity be the first to go inside this horror exploration experience? Unfortunately, this gathered data has congealed into a dark and twisted consciousness of its own, forming its own digital world which starts to alter the perceptions of Raymond, his wife Katherine and their son Benjamin.
