Kingdom Hearts III Release Date Officially Set for 2019!

Kingdom Hearts 3 is the hotly anticipated conclusion to the Xehanort Saga that started with the original Kingdom Hearts game, released in 2002 and was first officially revealed with a trailer at E3 2013.

In light of California's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Disney and Square Enix have confirmed the release date for Kingdom Hearts III: January 29, 2019.

Having been announced five years ago nearly to the day, Square Enix has today finally slapped a release date on Kingdom Hearts III, meaning it's okay to start getting really excited about the game's arrival.

Kingdom Hearts is one of Square Enix's most popular franchises.

Longtime fans don't need to worry about any drastic changes to its core gameplay as that aspect has largely remained the same. More fighters will join the final roster, including both fighters from previous entries and completely new characters.

"We've announced the release day for KINGDOM HEARTS III ahead of E3 at the KINGDOM HEARTS Orchestra -World Tour-". Kingdom Hearts II came out in 2006.

Kingdom Hearts III director Tetsuya Nomura, accompanied the announcement with a brief apology to all of the fans who have been eagerly awaiting the title for years, and who were expecting to finally get their hands on it sometime in 2018.

Nomura has noted that the game will have another playable character besides Sora.
