The star of Netflix's Stranger Things deleted her account after a meme spread which depicted her as a murderous homophobe.

Millie, who is known not just for her acting but also for her anti-bullying message had to take drastic action after images of her with homophobic slurs photoshopped over the top began to litter Twitter.

After compromise, May set to avoid defeat in parliament on customs
Mr Grieve warned that if the Government failed to offer an adequate compromise, it would not be "the end of the matter". But the Prime Minister is likely to face the risk of further rebellions further down the line.

According to a report from Variety, photos of the 14-year-old "Stranger Things" actress were being used by social media users to create homophobic memes.

The star had 2.28 million followers before she deactivated the account.

The trolls posted the terrible memes during Pride month, and one of the completely fake Photoshopped images took off and got wide circulation.

And one said - with receipts - that "MILLIE BOBBY BROWN SUPPORTS LGBTQ+".
