Vince Vaughn was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning, Manhattan Beach law enforcement have confirmed.
Insiders tell TMZ that the 48-year-old "Dodgeball" star was arrested after being stopped at a routine police checkpoint while driving with a passenger.
The "Wedding Crashers" actor's bail was set at $5,000, and he's due back in court on September 10, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office records.
The alleged incident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. Sunday morning in Manhattan Beach, California, about 30 minutes south of Los Angeles.
Country sheds 7.5K jobs, local employment relatively unchanged
In Quebec, a drop in full-time work was offset by a gain in part-time to leave the province little changed for the month. Provincially, employment increased in Prince Edward Island, while it decreased in British Columbia and Nova Scotia.
Vaughn representatives have not made an official statement on the arrest. His passenger was also arrested and charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing officers.
This would be Vaughn's first DUI offense if charged - he was previously arrested in 2001 for partaking in a bar fight in Wilmington, North Carolina, a brawl of which left fellow actor Steve Buscemi stabbed.
Vaughn's team didn't immediately return requests for comments by the entertainment news publications.
