"After giving up three earned runs with a 4-0 lead in the ninth inning of the Houston Astros" extra innings win on Tuesday, the team optioned the fiery right-hander to Triple-A Fresno.

The Astros were up by four to start the ninth inning against Oakland on Tuesday night when Giles took over and gave up three straight singles which cut the lead to 4-1. As manager AJ Hinch came to the mound to remove him, Giles appeared to curse Hinch out, saying, "F- you man".

The Athletics tied the game at 4 in the 9th inning.

"I did hear about it", Hinch told reporters. That stuff happens in the heat of battle. He can let me know if it was directed at me. "It if turns out it was at me, we'll talk about it".

It wasn't Giles first outburst this season. He promptly punched himself in the face on his way off the mound. He has recorded 12 saves and 31 strikeouts in 30.2 innings pitched. Nearly more memorable than that was Giles punching himself in the face after giving up four runs to the Yankees in the ninth inning on May 2. He has allowed 17 runs all season in 34 appearances.
