Rapper Cardi B. is firing back at her former manager who filed a lawsuit against the star.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Almanzar's lawsuit states in a rather long sentence that: "This case arises out of the deceitful and disloyal conduct of a self-serving and controlling personal manager, counter-defendant Klenord "Shaft" Raphael, and his entities through which he does business, WorldStar and KSR, who together, among other things, breached their contractual and fiduciary duties to counter-plaintiff Belcalis Almanzar, an immensely talented and trusting young artist".

The New York City native said in legal docs that Shaft put up 'barriers between her and people close to her in an effort to maintain complete control over her'.

She further revealed in the suit that the estranged manager, made the management deal way too beneficial to him. The suit stated that the former manager received a 20% fee as her acting manager during the time. She claims he took 50 per cent of the royalties from her work with Atlantic Records. She later deleted the tweet. Shaft started to manage Cardi's career in 2014, and he reportedly had a helping hand in getting her a spot on the cast of Love & Hip Hop. It says the former manager and his companies' behavior is "an egregious and reprehensible breach of all trust and confidence placed in them".

On June 5, Cardi B filed her countersuit, wherein the documents mention that Shaft, the manager, had set up a management deal with her.

Raphael blames both Offset and Patience Foster, who is Cardi B's makeup artist and publicist, for "turning" her against him, and feels that but for their influence, he would still be a part of Cardi's success.

In one instance, he said Offset contacted him late past year, saying he was a "snake" who had taken more than his fair share of Cardi B's earnings. Shaft, said Cardi, was trying to tell her who she should and shouldn't see romantically.
