Seri is no stranger to speculation linking him with the Premier League and the Nice midfielder has been touted as a target for a number of top-flight clubs over the last few transfer windows.

According to Sky Sports, reported West Ham United target Jean-Michel Seri has not travelled with Nice on their pre-season training camp.

The Ivorian has been linked with both clubs this summer as they seek reinforcements.

According to the Daily Star, Seri has a £35 million release clause in his contract that is set to expire later this summer.

US President Donald Trump arrives in Britain on Thursday for talks with the leader of the United States' closest ally in Europe. Meanwhile, Theresa May's government is nervously anticipating disruption from the guest himself.

Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly still in contact with OGC Nice star Jean Seri, with the pair having been strongly linked with the player in recent weeks.

West Ham, Spurs and even Fulham have also shown interest in signing Seri, though Stamford Bridge is believed to be his preferred destination.

Chelsea are now in a predicament with their delay in recruiting Maurizio Sarri as their next head coach but they remain optimistic that a deal could be struck before they face Perth Glory in their opening pre-season game.

Seri has developed in to one of the best midfielders in French football since joining Nice from Pacos de Ferreira in 2015 and he was virtually ever-present last season as he provided 2 goals and 10 assists to help Nice finish 8th in the Ligue 1 table.
