"Drake has seven songs in the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously, beating the Beatles" record of five that had stood since 1964. The new songs bring Drake to a career total of 31 top 10 Hot 100 hits, besting Michael Jackson for most solo top 10 hits for a male performer.

Canadian rapper Drake shattered records with his new album "Scorpion", which became the first to score one billion streams in its first week and also debuted at No 1 on the Billboard 200 album charts. There's some complicated math behind them, but what they basically mean is that if an album's songs are downloaded or streamed on services like Spotify often enough, it can boost the album's chart position just like a traditional physical sale would.

Drake's influence comes off the back of his newly released album Scorpion, which made headlines for its marketing, which saw Spotify push the album to all of its users, featuring his new music across 30 of it's most followed playlists.

1 hit, "Nice for What", returns to the top of the chart, while "Nonstop" debuts at No. 2. "All 25 tracks from Scorpion, released on Young Money/Cash Money/Republic Records, appear on the chart", says Billboard.
