"These were his words, [when] he sat in front of us for eight hours, nine hours and denied there was any bias".
Strzok was caught having an affair with former agent Lisa Page, and text messages between them revealed a strong anti-Trump sentiment.
"The reality is if that was a widespread attitude at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, we would be abolishing the Federal Bureau of Investigation", said Issa.
"He's a liar. I mean he is a good liar", Kallstrom said of Strzok during an interview on "The Evening Edit" on Thursday.
"The only reason we know about it is that these kinds of things were going on on official phones that were discoverable", the congressman added.
Giuliani's words followed those of other Republicans who attempted to seize on Strzok's texts with Page and his testimony as evidence of political bias toward Trump and his campaign, and as proof that the entire Mueller probe was propped up by a "deep state" intent on thwarting Trump's administration.
Goodlatte then tried to let Strzok respond to Gohmert's statements after the Texas Republican's time ended. Both Strzok and Page were booted from Mueller's investigation a year ago after he discovered their texts. "No he won't. We'll stop it".
