Sarri wants £88M Koulibaly as first summer Chelsea signing

Incoming Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is reportedly very keen to sign Senegal and Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, as the Italian seeks to reinforce his squad for next season.

Reports in Italy say a €5m compensation agreement has been reached but Chelsea are still hoping to avoid a significant pay-off for Antonio Conte, who is determined not to break his own contract.

The 59-year-old former Napoli coach has been touted to take over from Antonio Conte at the Stamford Bridge this summer.

However, there's been a twist regarding this pay-out as Chelsea plan to save a few pounds on this figure by launching a legal claim that Conte mismanaged the sale of Diego Costa last summer, with the striker infamously informed of his departure via text message.

Mickelson breaks rules again, this time at Greenbrier
While he was never really in contention at The Greenbrier, all eyes were on the lefty after his rule-breaking debacle at the U.S. Mickelson had teed up his ball in the tee box on No. 7 on Sunday at The Old White TPC, and was getting ready to hit.

Asked if he thinks Sarri will end up at Chelsea, De Laurentiis added, "I do not know".

He faces a hard task at Chelsea, where a tighter transfer purse and reduced involvement from Roman Abramovich has led to reinforcements which have recently been made up of players considered to be either second or third choice targets of Conte.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Sarri will begin his time at the club by actually living at the training ground in Cobham. Juventus' Daniele Rugani, Inter Milan's Matias Vecino and Nice's Jean Seri have also been linked with the club.
