In case you weren't aware of, Shenmue I & II will re-release as a collection and will come complete with the original feature set that defined modern gaming, including enthralling jujitsu combat, investigative sleuthing, and RPG elements in addition to memorable mini-games.
Microsoft's own Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb revealed on his blog that Shenmue 1 & 2 is now available for pre-order.
The two games, which originally launched in 1999 and 2001 respectively, are the precursor to the long, long awaited Shenmue III, which is now in development under the watchful eye of franchise creator, Yu Suzuki. Shenmue III is expected to launch sometime in 2019. Sega has released a new trailer confirming the launch, as well as updated a Steam product listing. Players can head over to the official Xbox Marketplace store page which lists the upcoming remastered bundle at $29.99 and lists some of the updated features which include modern/classic controls, updated UI, an option to toggle Japanese dialogue, and fully scalable screen resolutions.
Drinking coffee could lower risk of death, study finds
Overall, coffee drinkers were about 10 percent to 15 percent less likely to die than abstainers during a decade of follow-up. The researchers asked them how many cups of coffee they drank per day, including the type: decaffeinated, ground or instant.
Never mind Shenmue III, for years even the prospect of a remaster of the original games has seemed impossible.
The original Shenmue was first released in 2000 (1999 in Japan) and has only ever been available on Sega's Dreamcast console.
