The first trailer for Star Trek: Discovery season 2 is here. We have our first look at Season 2 of Star Trek: Discovery and there's a familiar face dropping by. And finally, another entry will focus on Tilly (Mary Wiseman) and an unlikely friendship she develops aboard the U.S.S. Discovery.
There definitely is something of a Star Trek: Into Darkness vibe about Discovery, and Into Darkness was another homage to the original that still found its own way to navigate.
With original showrunner Bryan Fuller out, replacement showrunners Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts also gone, and Kurtzman now in, Star Trek: Discovery seems to be going all out for its second season to make up for the various changing of hands and the bumpy journey it's had from concept to execution to final product.

Apart from lava explosions, there is also a danger of clouds of hydrochloric acid and fine volcanic glass particles. A 20-year-old girl suffered the most serious injury, which DLNR is describing as a traumatic leg injury.
The role was originally played by Majel Barrett Roddenberry.
The inclusion of young Spock in Star Trek: Discovery has been questioned since the conclusion of Season 1 when the Discovery received a distress call from the USS Enterprise. The connections keep on coming in Season 2, as Anson Mount has been cast as Christopher Pike, the captain that preceded Captain Kirk on the Enterprise. Spock casting news should be made available soon. More news on the character as we hear it.
Romijn will play the original character from the unaired pilot alongside Mount's Pike. But based on the new trailer, it turns out I was not far off the mark! Since the show's premise-redefining season finale back in February, fans (like myself) have been anxiously awaiting any updates on the CBS All Access series.
