Manigault Newman's book, Unhinged, characterises the United States president as a bigot, sexist and racist who she claims has been caught on mic using the N-word multiple times.

Former White House aide Omarosa attacks President Trump in her new tell-all book; Siraj Hashmi of the Washington Examiner weighs in. During the interview with Chuck Todd, she brought a recording of her firing by Chief of Staff John Kelly and claimed that it involved a veiled "threat". I just saw in the news that you're thinking about leaving.

"I protected myself because this is a White House where everybody lies; the president lies to the American people, Sarah Huckabee [Sanders] stands in front of the country and lies every single day", she said.

She framed the newly released audio as proof of her story and that Kelly put her in an uncomfortable situation after "trying to find a reason to let me go".

But the Situation Room recording raised questions about whether she had breached security protocols in a room that is supposed to be devoid of personal electronic devices.

The former "Celebrity Apprentice" star said Mr. Trump "absolutely" lies all the time, and she isn't sure if he lied during his call with her. She was one of the highest paid employees on the White House staff, given a salary of nearly $180,000 a year.

Trump suggested that her dismissal was in large part related to her standing with the staff.

Omarosa Manigault-Newman, once one of President Trump's biggest defenders, has in recent months totally sworn off both him and his administration. "That's downright criminal", she claimed.

And he made it look ever so easy, bludgeoning his drives massive distances and honing in on the pins with unerring accuracy. It didn't bring a 15th major championship, and you can certainly quibble about the lost opportunities along the way.

Her dramatic divorce from a man she likens to a cult leader is the subject of a salacious, self-serving, mostly unverifiable account of her West Wing tenure, "Unhinged: An Insiders Account of the Trump White House" (Gallery Books, 330 pages).

The response from the White House was stinging.

She also claimed Americans were being kept in the dark about the president's mental decline saying: "I was complicit with this White House deceiving this nation". In the book, Manigault-Newman calls Trump a racist, a bigot, and a misogynist.

"Being used by Donald Trump for so long I was like the frog in hot water".

President Donald Trump continues to be "frustrated" that Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself in issues relating to the Trump campaign - and wants only "to make sure we're investigating all sides of the so-called Russian collusion", counselor Kellyanne Conway said Sunday.

White House aides are exploring what punishment she could face for the purported recording in the Situation Room and in the building, according to a senior administration official.

CNN host John Berman said during his interview of Short that Trump had repeatedly promised to only hire "the best people" in his White House.
