Manchester United Set To Make A Major Change: Will Jose Be Happy?

He went on to say: "There are things I can not say otherwise I will get fined".

Pogba only returned to training at the start of the week after helping France to win the tournament but he was thrust into the starting line-up on Friday and given the captain's armband, with his penalty setting United on course for a 2-1 win against Leicester.

It's been widely claimed for quite some time that Pogba doesn't get along with Jose Mourinho, who made comments after the victory that appear to verify some tension between the club manager and CEO Ed Woodward.

United's season got off to the flawless start on Friday night as Mourinho's men beat Leicester at Old Trafford.

The legendary United right-back accepts that the Portuguese has had a lot of money to spend during his time at Old Trafford, but thinks "there is still more investment to do to make up for the mistakes".

Bartomeu suggested that more players will leave the club before the window closed but didn't rule out incomings either. "We have respect for all clubs and there's 20 days left in the transfer window".

Why Boateng Rejected Man United Move
The player said the accusations were a great disappointment but he admitted to intensifying his rehabilitation. The French defender is said to have taken advantage of a 2019 exit clause at his current club VfB Stuttgart.

The Red Devils signed Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant, however, the Special One wanted at least two more players.

"I can not see United selling one of their greatest assets right now, the relationship between Mourinho and the player appears to be strained and it really doesn't need to be", he added.

"We have to wait for end of November, beginning of December to understand how things are going and if we can fight for the title".

He adds: "When people trust you, then you're good in your own head, and it's going to be easier. We play against a team that invest more than us". Mourinho seems to be at odds with some important figures at the club.

With Pogba's future at Old Trafford seemingly in the balance, Bartomeu has now insisted he will not talk about other teams' players in the media, but also hinted that the Catalan club is not yet done buying in this window.
