Specifications wise, the Motorola P30 ticks the kinds of boxes you would expect it too.
The front comes with a notch that's slightly narrower than the iPhone X, and a base that houses the Motorola's logo, probably to avoid a scathing lawsuit from the guys at Apple.
The device, set to be the mid-range P30 device with P30 Pro and P30 Note yet to be announced, borrows heavily from Apple's iPhone X aesthetic as has become the norm over the last twelve months.
News site Mashable said Motorola "even went so far as to adorn the screen with a wallpaper that's a dead ringer for Apple's default wallpaper". If you ever wanted to see iPhone X in Huawei's colors then Motorola has delivered that mashup with the P30.
Long-term vaping may damage lung immune cells, warn researchers
Smoking e-cigarettes, or vaping, may be more harmful than we think, according to University of Birmingham scientists. It believed that e-cigarettes can help one overcome the habit of smoking and should be allowed on prescription.
The P30 will be available from 15 September, and it will start at only 2,100 yuan (converts to about $300 or £240), depending on whether you get it with 64GB or 128GB of storage.
Motorola was a pioneer in the mobile phone industry, but its sales fell in the smartphone era and its handset division was sold to Google in 2012. The phone comes with a 6.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2246 pixels. The device will be available in Black, White, Blue + Purple gradient colors. Under its hood, the smartphone makes use of an octa-core 14nm Snapdragon 636 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the custom ZUI 4.0 skin on top. The Motorola P30 also supports expandable storage via microSD card slot.
The Motorola Moto P30 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. The front-facing camera module is a 20 MP shooter with f/2.9 aperture and LED flash. Motorola says the P30 also supports Dolby sound, there is a fingerprint reader on the back, and it also offers face unlock as well. Given its price we think this could be a great little phone, if you're in China, and we'll wait to see what changes if any are brought to the handset when it goes global.
