Aaron Rodgers returns to lead Pack to win against Bears

Twitter reacts to Aaron Rodgers' injury

Packers Survive Week 1 With Comeback Win Over Bears; Twitter Reacts

The Bears, after a gutting 24-23 loss Sunday night at Lambeau Field - loss No. 17 in their last 20 meetings with the rivals to the north - can certainly attest to that.

But Rodgers wasn't sacked in the second half, and Pettine's unit allowed merely two second-half field goals.

The injury happened in the second quarter when Rodgers stayed down after a sack. They entered the season on a 17 game losing streak.

The tweet states why National Football League teams should pay its star players. He was seen shaking his head when he finally made it onto the cart headed for the locker room. They reached the playoffs for eight straight seasons before going 7-9 last season, when Rodgers missed nine games because of a broken collarbone. A field goal did them very little good there - it just made it so that a Packers field goal would tie them.

"It's hard (to put into words)", Rodgers told NBC after the game.

The return of Rodgers somehow turned around what had been shoddy pass protection, which contributed to Rodgers' injury in the first place.

"You prepare all offseason for the first game of the season, so I wanted to come back and make an impact, but you want to win these games", Mack said. "But I knew once I got back on the field and the adrenaline started going, I'd be able to hang in there".

Cantona Backs Guardiola Over Mourinho
Zinedine Zidane has confirmed he will be back "coaching again soon" as he continues to be linked with Manchester United. Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ruben Neves is reportedly on the radar of Manchester United and Manchester City .

While the Bears' offense remains a work in progress, a defense buoyed by a hysterically-good first half from Mack looked good enough to earn Matt Nagy a comfortable win in his head coaching debut. The Bears quickly matched the Packers' transition tender with a new four-year, $56-million deal. But as he showed against the Packers, it was well worth it.

B | Jordan Howard (15 carries, 82 yards) almost finished off the Packers late in the fourth quarter, breaking off 16- and 11-yard runs.

It was night and day between the first- and second-half offenses of both teams.

If there's one positive from Sunday night for this team, it's that the talent gap seems to have narrowed, if not closed, between the Bears and Packers.

Later Rodgers said his playing status would be more clear later in the week.

Trubisky made a valiant effort, going 23-of-35 passing for 171 yards. He also added 15 rushing yards on his lone carry.

He moved in and out of the pocket and escaped the wrath of the Packers' defense to extend drives in the first half.
