Android Pie-Based Oxygen OS 9.0 Now Available For OnePlus 6

This version of Oxygen OS is based on Android 9 Pie, which means that OnePlus 6 owners are now getting the latest version of Android, and becoming one of the first smartphones to get the update.

The company's own OxygenOS will support the navigation gestures introduced with base Android as well as the adaptive battery-saving feature. OnePlus says the update features brand new UI for Android P and also comes with Android P Gesture Navigation. Another smartphone brand to achieve such a feat is HMD Global' Nokia which has officially declared that it will launch the new Android Pie 9.0 update once it is available throughout its new Android series of smartphones starting Nokia 2 (chances of Nokia 1 receiving the updates are slim).

OxygenOS 9.0 for the OnePlus 6 is rolling out in stages. OnePlus always does this staged rollout with a major software update because if users notice any major bugs, then the company will halt the broader rollout and fix the bugs, then releases the update again.

OnePlus 6 has already proven to be one of the worthiest phones money can buy in 2018. We haven't seen any confirmation from OnePlus on social media, either, so this could potentially be a German rollout only.
