Apple unveils new iPhone models amid slowing smartphone demand

For those wondering, you will be able to download iOS 12 final on the 17th of September, according to Apple during its iPhone Xs keynote.

Research firm IDC expects worldwide smartphone shipments to decline 0.7 percent in 2018 to 1.455 billion units, with growth likely to resume as 5G devices become available. The steep price of an iPhone makes it cost-prohibitive for many, particularly those outside the United States. Hall, however, believes Apple will price it closer to $849 given better-than-expected demand for the current iPhone X this summer. And no, its not just you – the new model really will look essentially the same as last years iPhone X.

The phones will have all-new sensors, and improved true tone flash.

The leak, discovered in new product page listings of the sitemap by the site All Things How, appears to confirm the three new phones will be called the iPhone XS, XS Max and iPhone XR.

As for battery life, Apple claims the iPhone XR will have an hour and a half more battery life than the iPhone 8 Plus.

Apple's newest iPhone could have big screen, big price
Apple typically likes it when you use its things, but this year it will allow you to stream it on non-Apple browsers, too. Those with an Apple TV can also tune in on the big screen via the Apple events app installed on the streaming device.

The XS will feature the same 5.8-inch screen size as its predecessor X, and the same 2.7 million pixels - but Apple senior vice president Philip Schiller promised a "60-percent greater dynamic range in color" on new models.

Apple also is expected to release an iPhone with minor updates to last year's $1,000 model and another version made of cheaper materials, including a 6.1-inch LCD screen.

Apple led its event with the announcement of Apple Watch Series 4, the next evolution of its smartwatch. This is the new name for what's previously been known as the Plus model-it's essentially a larger XS.

The XS and XS Max will be available for pre-order on Friday 14 September, for delivery and in stores on Friday 21 September, while the XR will be orderable from 19 October and will ship on 26 October.

Chief operating officer Jeff Williams said that "everything about (Apple Watch) has been redesigned". The cheapest phone in the iPhone line up is the iPhone 7, starting at $449.
