David Luiz: 'I believe in Maurizio Sarri philosophy'

Chelsea defender David Luiz has claimed that Maurizio Sarri's attitude towards life is the reason why the Italian is enjoying his time on and off the pitch.

So far, the London based outfit have won all of their first four league games and it is only the goal difference which separates them from Liverpool who are placed at the top of the league table.

Luiz was frozen under Antonio Conte last season, which cost him a place in Brazil's squad to the World Cup in Russian Federation.

Sarri, 59, has since overseen a ideal start to his tenure with the Blues, winning all four Premier League matches so far. The Blues beat Huddersfield Town, Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Bournemouth to take second position in the standings, behind Liverpool.

"I think it's going to be very exciting and that they are definitely the favourites to win the Premier League title".

Indeed, the new boss was able to keep hold of all of his key players in the summer, apart from goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Trump said last week that he also had tariffs on an additional $267 billion worth of goods ready "on short notice if I want". China may not be able to match future USA tariffs dollar for dollar and has warned that it would take other measures.

Luiz was something of a forgotten man for Chelsea under Antonio Conte last season, falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and making only nine Premier League starts.

"I think Chelsea changed a lot", he said.

"He [Sarri] still has good players, [Eden] Hazard is there, [N'Golo] Kante is there".

Chelsea are back in action on Saturday when they host newly-promoted Cardiff City. "These five years have been very good for me and I am proud to be a Chelsea player".

"These kinds of players give a different story about Chelsea than the way we knew Chelsea before". If he wants to play for another season, I think it's right that he tried to play.

Guardiola's defending champions Manchester City are favourites to retain their crown in 2018-19 and have looked in excellent form in the opening four matches of the campaign.
