Apple is planning to introduce a new model of iPhone on September 12. Apparently, the pictures show two smartphones: iPhone iPhone XS and XS Plus. The entry-level iPhone will ditch the stainless steel housing, opting instead for an aluminum shell that will come in a series of colors according to Bloomberg.
Apple is widely expected to unveil a direct successor to the current iPhone X that could be called the iPhone Xs at its forthcoming event on September 12. The company did the same past year with the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X but things might be a little different this time.
The largest of the 2018 iPhones, the iPhone X Plus, will have a 6.5-inch display. None of Apple's models offer microSD storage expansion though all three new iPhones are now eSIM capable. In terms of screen size, the XS Max will feature a notched 6.5-inch OLED as usual. All three of the new iPhones have Smart HDR and Portrait Mode with Depth Control features however, despite the XR only featuring one sensor.
Even though we're just days away from Apple unveiling its new line of iPhones, there is still a lot of speculation about what it will call its sequel to the iPhone 8.
Hurricane Florence is a "horrific nightmare" for meteorologists tracking the storm
Following Hurricane Florence are two more powerful storms crossing the Atlantic, namely Tropical Storm Isaac and Hurricane Helene. More than 1,400 flights have been cancelled, according to FlightAware.com, with most of the coastal region's airports closed.
Apple has also been rumoured to be planning the grand unveiling of its biggest iPhone yet that will also sport an all-screen design. Both the models are likely to be called iPhone XS with one featuring an OLED display. Apple is expected to charge another €170 for the bigger 256GB variant.
The two OLED-screened phones are likely to come in black, white and gold, according to noted Apple analyst formerly at KGI Securities, now at TF International Securities, which tallies with what 9to5Mac also claims.
Alongside the iPhone X, Apple announced a wireless charging pad that can charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods at the same time - something that's not now possible with wireless chargers based on the Qi standard. The rumours and leaks around the 2018 Pixel flagships were one of the worst to be leaked out with the new handsets said to be stolen and sold on the black market for exorbitant prices.
The phones are naturally going to be upgrades of their predecessor models, however the scope of these upgrades are now unknown but there do exist countless rumors about these alleged specs.
