Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a chance to show off their sporty sides yesterday during their visit to the inaugural Coach Core awards at Loughborough University.

The Duchess of Sussex is known for her sweet little touches, so it's no wonder why she picked 25 September to embark on her first solo engagement.

The pin-straight style complemented her voluminous, ruffled navy blue Oscar de la Renta belted top and black Altuzarra pants.

Markle and her prince were total sports themselves at the event, which took place in a gymnasium, starting things off by joining in on a netball practice drill before testing their skills with a shootout and meeting program participants.

Despite Meghan's best efforts, it was Harry's team that came out on top, but it seems there were no hard feelings, as they were later seen hugging it out.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were snapped sharing an adorable moment of PDA while hitting the netball courts at the inaugural Coach Core awards.

Driven by a desire to build upon the legacy of the Olympic Games, Coach Core hopes to inspire young people who are not in education or employment through sport, and create the next generation of sports coaches.

Harry and Meghan made sure to get amongst the action, showing off their competitive sides.
