Nintendo's online service, opening from 19 Sept, will cost £3.49 / $3.99 for one month or £17.99 / $19.99 for 12 months.

But perhaps the most interesting news from Nintendo Direct was that a swath of popular board games is coming to your Switch console.

In regards to the NES games, the FAQ confirms that players will only have offline access to these classic titles for seven days as long as their Nintendo Switch Online subscription is active.

Unfortunately, they'll only be available to those who Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
