Cohen and two other defense lawyers said the couple, each of whom remains free on $100,000 bond, would contest the charges in court.
Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas said Robicheaux and Riley are believed to have worked in tandem at restaurants and bars to identify their victims. "A woman purporting to be his girlfriend clearly played a significant role in disarming the victims, making them feel comfortable and safe".
"Based on this evidence, we believe that there might be many unidentified victims out there", Rackauckas said.
In the two cases that have already led to criminal charges, the pair are accused of using ecstasy, date rape drugs and cocaine to incapacitate their victims before assaulting them at Robicheaux's home in Newport Beach.
Neighbors were still abuzz Thursday over the events that have shaken the Peninsula, the bayside section of town where Robicheaux lived in a neat, three-story, Cape-Cod-style house off a busy street. The alleged victim went to Newport Beach police the next day and a forensic exam confirmed multiple controlled substances in her system. Robicheaux, 38, was known to be friendly and outgoing, and was often seen with Riley, 31. She thought he was good looking and saw a flattering article about him.
He was also voted a Bachelor of the Year by the Orange Coast Magazine in 2013.
Robicheaux was featured on a Bravo TV show called "Online Dating Rituals of the American Male".
In recent years, his life appeared to some to be more settled.
On Wednesday, when asked for an update on the case, Orange County District Attorney Chief of Staff Susan Kang Schroeder said six new possible victims have come forward, and more than 30 people have called investigators.
Another nearby resident, Matt Everett, didn't know Robicheaux, but said for those who seek it out, there's "lot of partying going on" in Newport Beach. "And they're barely responsive to the defendant's sexual advances", Rackauckas said.
"We're expanding our inquiries to several states and as well as other parts of California", Rackauckas said.
Twitch is now banned in China
Still, it was bound to happen soon one way or another, since China has cracked down on similar services in the past. It was unannounced, and Twitch confirmed the news only after being asked by Abacus .
Attorneys for the pair say they are innocent.
In a statement to the Los Angeles Times, Robicheaux and Riley "unequivocally" denied the allegations of non-consensual sex.
Orange County officials suspect Robicheaux and Riley may have traveled together to "various festivals and locations since 2015, including Burning Man in Black Rock Desert, Nevada, Dirtybird Campout Festival in Silverado, California and the Splash House music festival in Palm Springs, California", according to a news release issued by prosecutors earlier this week.
There was no indication, however, that he is indeed practicing.
A woman who met Robicheaux on Tinder recently told Inside Edition she had only narrowly escaped being one of his victims.
Feeling weak and afraid, the woman told police she was not able to physically or verbally stop the couple as she endured the ordeal. "I'm thinking.'this guy performs surgery on people?'"
The statement also noted the allegations do not concern Robicheaux's patients.
There have also been internal disputes. The plaintiff alleged that Robicheaux broke promises that the medical group would hire him as head of physical therapy and chiropractic, as well as pay him a certain salary.
He said Riley and Robicheaux met one 32-year-old woman rackauckat a restaurant in Newport Beach in April 2016.
At that home in Brea, dogs barked from inside, but no one answered.
