The game will be launching on the platform on December 6, but only in Japan for now. This remastering features beautifully enhanced graphics thanks to Unreal Engine 4.
A big story a short time ago was that the last-gen RPG known as The Last Remnant was being pulled off of Steam for unknown reasons. Nevertheless, The Last Remnant formed an avid fan-base, so much so that Square Enix decided for the 10 year anniversary to remaster it with today's elevated technology. The game was lauded for its approach to combat which sidestepped controlling individual members of a party for a system whereby you place leaders and warriors together in unions, issuing broader commands that the union follows.
Below you can enjoy the trailer for the North American market, alongside a batch of screenshots showing the enhanced visuals.
11 dead, dozens hurt as driver crashes into crowd
The government originally said three people died, but raised the death toll to nine in a statement late on Wednesday. A local government statement described the event as a "deliberate, malicious case of driving with intent to injure".
Originally released on PS3 in 2008, Square Enix said the title "captured the hearts and minds of gamers with its enthralling story, countless characters and intricate battle system".
THE LAST REMNANT Remastered will be available digitally via the PlayStation Network for $19.99 on December 6. In other words, it can't really be counted among Square Enix's critically acclaimed releases, which makes it an odd candidate for a remastered edition. Now, the publisher has revealed The Last Remnant Remastered, coming to PS4.
