Android Pie update delayed for these OnePlus smartphones

OnePlus has confirmed that the launch date has been changed only for its U.S. event and that its India event on October 30 will be held as announced earlier.

OnePlus had recently announced that a "brand new UI" will ship on the OnePlus 6T, and we're presuming that the company is talking about a new OxygenOS UI.

The OnePlus 6T launch event will now kick off at 11am on October 29. Those who hold tickets and still want to attend will have the relevant costs covered, according to Lau's post.

People planning to get the OnePlus 6T can now expect much-improved software with Android Pie.

Everyone knows OnePlus as the scrappy Chinese company that makes flagship Android phones and sells them for hundreds of dollars less than, say, Samsung's Galaxy phones or Google's Pixels. The company will also be launching the smartphone on October 30 in New Delhi and the first sale for the device will commence on November 2 exclusively via Amazon India. However, the same can't be said with the OnePlus 5T and 5, because they were just released a year ago and the OnePlus 6 has already been updated. Now, with this decision, passionate smartphone and tech fans can view both events without any scheduling conflicts.

The OnePlus 6T will launch in less than two weeks and now an alleged leak obtained by MySmartPrice reveals a bit more about the upcoming device. We debated for hours before we came to one of the most painful decisions we have ever made. The company confirmed the same by posting a dedicated post on the official OnePlus forums and explained the reason for the shift. These fans will also get lots of goodies when they arrive at the launch event.

It has been widely rumored that the OnePlus might increase the price of the OnePlus 6T when compared to the OnePlus 6. OnePlus had already advertised its highly anticipated in-display fingerprint scanner. "We will do everything in our power to make things right".
