Former Trump aide Hope Hicks to work at Fox company

The former Trump White House Communications Director had announced her retirement in February, one day after testifying before Congress she had lied for the president. Trump is an outspoken fan of Fox News, often promoting their programming on his Twitter feed. In her new role, the Times reported, Hicks will relocate to Los Angeles and work in close concert with Murdoch's eldest son, Lachlan Murdoch, who is poised to become next chairman and chief executive of Fox.

New Fox will include the Fox broadcast network, its sports unit FS1, and Fox News, which is America's leading cable news network. Hicks will report to Viet Dinh, Fox chief legal and policy officer.

Hope Hicks is moving out of the White House and into the boardroom. He is known as such an avid viewer of Fox that anchors and political guests have even sometimes sought to address Trump directly from its programs in attempts to influence his thinking. So happy for my friend.
