More than 50,000 used books will be available during the upcoming annual fall book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Norman Library.

Roslin Thompson from the library tells KNIA/KRLS News the sale is important to their operations.

The book sale will open to the public Wednesday, Oct. 17 and run until Sunday, Oct.21. Items for sale will include quality books, children's books, DVD's and CD's.

FOL members will have first pick of the books for sale from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, October 25.

Last year's flu vaccine wasn't very effective. This year's looks more promising
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises that everyone six months and older should receive an annual flu vaccination . Dr Walters believes many are suspicious about their unrelated sniffles around the time of getting the flu shot .

Proceeds from the sale will benefit Friends of the Library, a volunteer, board-guided, membership organization that acts as a booster club for the library.

The largest of four sales sponsored by the Friends group will be held Friday through Monday at the Norman Public Library, 225 N Webster. To join, visit www.mchenrylibrary.org and search the website for "Friends of the Library".
