Chelsea and United players soon got involved themselves in what can only be described as spectacular scenes at Stamford Bridge.
Ianni was pumping his fists just in front of Mourinho and the Portuguese manager reacted furiously, running over to Ianni and having to be restrained by stewards. Paul was good, [Nemanja] Matic was good, [Juan] Mata was good, Ander Herrera was also in the game. 'I spoke with my staff and then agreed to speak to Mourinho and say sorry. "What I did here today I will do in Madrid, in Milan, in Porto, the reaction from the fans is not up to me", Mourinho told reporters.
He said: "I'm not annoyed with anything".
Ianni forms part of Sarri's 10-man strong backroom staff, along with club legend Gianfranco Zola, one of two assistant first-team coaches. The assistant has already come to me and apologised.
"Of course, I want to speak to him again because I want to make sure he's able to understand it was a big mistake", he said.

Sarri's Chelsea host Mourinho and United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday aiming to maintain an unbeaten start to the Premier League season that means they sit behind leaders Manchester City only on goal difference.
Both managers claimed afterwards that their teams had controlled the game, with Mourinho describing the draw as an "awful result" for him and his players.

Ianni, who came to Chelsea from Napoli with Sarri, twice celebrated in close proximity to Mourinho in the aftermath of substitute Barkley's goal. I have dealt with it immediately.
Sarri was not prepared to comment on Mourinho's tactics, which are often perceived to be negative.
"History says that when Eden Hazard is the best player of the Premier League, Chelsea is the champion".
"No I am not happy", said Mourinho.
In a subsequent news conference, Mourinho was asked what pleased him in United's performance and replied: "Everything. I think what I call the Chelsea triggers, we controlled them, and the reality is we conceded two goals from set-pieces, not in organised play".
Sarri said: "We need to expect everything because we have to play against a very strong team, and usually a very strong team play very well in important matches". Mourinho's side attacked properly in the second half and reaped their rewards.
"I think I will try always to control myself and to respect the stadium and supporters that were my supporters and my stadium for many years".
