The largest lottery drawing ever in the USA was the $1.586 billion Powerball lottery jackpot paid out to three winners across the country in 2016.

Mega Millions officials say no tickets matched all 6 numbers to claim the estimated $667 million grand prize in Tuesday night's drawing.

According to Mega Millions, it's the third-highest lottery jackpot in US history.

The estimated cash value, if you're lucky enough to match all six numbers, is $380 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot has grown with each of the 23 semi-weekly drawings that failed to producer a top victor since July 24, when an 11-member office pool in Santa Clara County, California, hit a $543 million jackpot. Jackpots start at $40 million, and other prizes pay from $1 million to $2 million or more with a Megaplier.

While California didn't sell the Mega Millions jackpot, Lotto officials tweeted that a 5 of 6 victor was sold in San Francisco. The cash option, which is favored by almost all winners, is $380 million.

If no one wins Tuesday's drawing, the jackpot will rise to $868 million for Friday's drawing.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been increasing since a group of 11 co-workers in Santa Clara County, Califiornia, shared a $543 million prize back in July.

The odds of winning the massive jackpot, played in 44 states and the District of Columbia, stand at a mere one in 302.5 million, according to AP.
