As always, OnePlus has already teased several features of the upcoming handset, while a number of leaks and rumours have hinted at some of the specifications of the smartphone. We have numerous leaks of the OnePlus 6T and have a pretty solid idea what the phone would be like.
In case youre wondering why you should pay OnePlus to attend the event, in the past the company has donated the proceeds from the ticket sales. From the Amazon India listing, it seems that the pre-bookings will begin soon after the announcement and will continue till October 30. The phone is expected to launch on October 17 in India as well as globally.
And now Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus has taken to Weibo to post a number of images of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS which we expect will be a vehicle that the OnePlus 6T Porsche Edition will be based on. Instead of seeing daylight on October 17, as previously anticipated, the OnePlus 6T is scheduled for a glamorous NY announcement on October 30.
The company will also sell the OnePlus 6T launch invites for Rs 999. Those who won't be able to make it to New Delhi launch event can also tune-in to the livestream. However, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC, the same that powers the OnePlus 6 with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the device will feature more screen real-estate due to the tiny waterdrop-like notch at the front and bezel-less display.
The adapter will set OnePlus 6T owners back €8.95, which is around £8 or $10.35. Tickets are now priced at $20, down from its original price of $30.
