Perry, 68, suffered from shortness of breath, according to a statement released by his spokesperson.
Perry's publicists said in a statement Sunday that the musician is alert and responsive in the hospital and is expected to return to the road later this month. Paramedics worked on the 68-year-old rocker for more than a half hour before wheeling him out of the venue on a stretcher and rushing to a NY hospital, where he remained as of yesterday.
As of this morning, there's no official word on Perry's condition, but radio personality Eddie Trunk tweeted that he heard the guitarist is "doing well today thankfully".
