Microsoft has acknowledged a problem affecting its Windows license activation servers in multiple countries that has resulted in users being told their Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise installations are invalid.
Another user says, "I am having the same problem".
Microsoft would dearly like the last remaining Windows 10 Mobile users to disappear, and they are doing everything they can to encourage them to move to a different mobile platform. As it seems there is an issue specific towards Windows 10 Pro license holders, for a number of people the license deactivates or downgrades itself rendering the Windows 10 build useless in a couple of days. Windows 10 user DanielRandy posted his activation issue on Microsoft's answers forum and posted a quote said to be from a Microsoft agent. In response to one user, who reported the activation problem 10 hours ago, @MicrosoftHelps said there are "no known issues regarding license deactivation".
This will restart the activation process on your Windows 10 Computer.
The file associations issue is something that was reported to Microsoft back in May by Windows Insiders, and according to Forbes it's existed in various forms since 2015.
