As the Royal Family marked Remembrance Day with a trio of somber events over the weekend (Nov. 10 and 11), many wondered about the Queen and Duchess Kate's sartorial tributes to fallen soldiers.

Both men and women wear as a Symbol of remembrance, paper poppies as a clip-on accessory. The day also marked the Armistice that ended the hostilities 100 years ago.

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, pulled out of the service last minute and a wreath was laid on his behalf by an equerry.
