This was during an outbreak of the disgusting disease that has left a confirmed 32 people sick this month in Washington State. Health officials in Los Angeles County, meanwhile, confirmed a person infected with measles visited multiple locations in the area in late December.
State data shows that 7.9 percent of children in Clark County were exempted in the 2017-18 school year from vaccines required for kindergarten entry, which includes the two-dose course for measles that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says is 97 percent effective. The immunization statuses of the other three patients there and the one in King County have not been verified.
According to the CDC, 2018 was the second-worst year for measles cases since 2000.
Health officials are investigating a suspected case of the measles in King County.
The public health department said that people may have been exposed to measles at the Kaiser Cascade Park Medical Office on January 19, Costco on January 16, a Dollar Tree on January 15 and the Portland International Airport on January 15. No deaths have been reported and only one case has resulted in hospitalization.
While some children can not be fully vaccinated for medical reasons, others skip the shots due to their parents' religious or philosophical beliefs.

People who may have been exposed to measles may receive a call from county officials and are encouraged to call their health care provider prior to visiting the medical office to avoid exposing others in the waiting room. Many of them occurred in NY and New Jersey after unvaccinated people returned home from trips to Israel, where a large outbreak was occurring.
"Portland is a total train wreck when it comes to vaccine rates", Hotez said in an interview with The Post.
In 2014, there were 667 cases reported to the agency.
"If other people breathe the contaminated air or touch a contaminated surface, then touch their eyes, noses or mouths, they can become infected", the county warned in a news release Tuesday.
