Rishabh Pant might be the "baby" of the Indian cricket team but on New Year's Day, the wicketkeeper showed that he is good with babies, something that got an instant thumbs up from none other than Australian skipper Tim Paine's wife. Paine is heard over the stump microphone saying, "Now that Big MS back in the ODI squad, maybe he could play for the Hobart Hurricanes". Bonnie Paine, skipper of the Australia star, dubbed Pant as the "best babysitter" after the latter met the Paine family. "(Can I) take the wife to the movies one night, you can look after the kids?"
Paine's tactics nearly worked, with Pant almost holing out to mid-off.
Naturally, the duo clashed during the Melbourne Test last week, with Paine asking Pant if he would babysit his kids.
Putin sends Trump a new year's greeting, invites him to meet
Putin responded by announcing that Russian Federation would develop new missiles. Russian Federation and the U.S. have never seen eye-to-eye on several issues.
The players have been involved in the banter and sledging in this series but unlike India's previous tours, everything has been on the field and there are no personal grudges between the cricketers.
Next day, on Day 4, when Paine came to bat, Pant made a decision to get back at him.
In a picture shared by Bonnie on her official Instagram account, Pant can be seen holding one her kids in his arms, with the former captioning the snap: "Best babysitter". He gave the Aussie a taste of his own medicine, mocking him by calling a "temporary captain" who only does "talking". He also went on to say that the "you don't need anything to get him out".
