It remains to be seen what updates get added to Apex Legends to keep this staggering momentum going.
In an interview with Eurogamer, lead producer Drew McCoy has addressed whether the free-to-play game will make its way to the Switch, stating that although there is "nothing [they] can now talk about", the studio would love to bring Apex Legends to the Nintendo Switch in the future. And of course, it's a true free-to-play game where you only need to spend money if you want characters and items quickly.
What makes Apex Legends so popular?
For now, Epic Games probably doesn't have too much to worry about. But more choice is usually a good thing, especially when Apex Legends is a tad bare at the moment.
