According to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, Georgia's 2019 recruiting class ranks No. 12 in the nation with Anthony Edwards now in the mix.
Edwards, a 6-foot-4 guard from Holy Spirit Prep School in Atlanta, is ranked No. 5 in the ESPN 100 for the class of 2019, slotting in as the No. 1 shooting guard in the country.

The in-state giant Georgia was the ultimate victor of the commitment from Edwards, but he's likely to be a one-and-done in Athens. He is also the first top-ranked Georgia prospect to stay home for college since Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in 2011.
Edwards is excited to be coached by Tom Crean, who has been tied to some of the NBA's biggest stars.
In his first year of coaching the Bulldogs, Crean has deep ties to Wade, whom he coached while at Marquette from 2001-2003 and instructed Victor Oladipo at IN from 2010-2013.
"They came in, not highly rated, and came out really good". He says his decision was influenced by "everybody showing love" on his unofficial visit at a Georgia game. Edwards says having family so close was "a big factor". That, and the fact that Edwards is averaging almost 30 points and nine rebounds per game at Holy Ghost.
