By trading Flacco, Baltimore will have $16 million on their dead cap for 2019.
The Baltimore Ravens have reportedly agreed to trade former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal can't be processed "officially" until new NFL league year begins Wednesday, March 13. Last year, the veteran lost his starting job to rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson, whom the Ravens committed to building around after drafting him in the first round. The team was 3-5 at the time. He reported when completed, the Ravens will likely get a mid-round pick. He was drafted 18th overall by the Ravens in 2008 and held on to the starter's role until he was sidelined by injury in Week 9 of last season. With another three years left on his deal, Flacco could be the answer to Denver's quarterback quandry. The Broncos went 6-10 in the 2018 season and missed the playoffs.

If Flacco winds up as the Broncos starter in the fall, he would be the fifth starting quarterback for Denver since Peyton Manning retired.
"To be honest with you, I can't imagine a better 11 years", Flacco said in the wake of the news, via NBC Sports. In his career he's thrown for more 38,245 passing yards and 212 touchdowns.
