Adidas are releasing a sick range of Game of Thrones runners

Game Of Thrones Season 8's First Two Episodes Aren't Extra Long

The First Two 'Game of Thrones' Season 8 Episodes Won't Be Movie-Length

Although there are no direct spoilers for Season 8, please turn back now if you wish to not find out any runtimes for the final season of Game of Thrones.

An executive at HBO relayed to Entertainment Weekly in January that "the exact length of each episode has yet to be announced by HBO" - a statement given after Premiere magazine reported two episodes of Thrones season 8 would be roughly 60 minutes long, with the final four (i.e., the only other ones of the season) clocking in at 80 minutes a piece.

This won't be the first time Game of Thrones has had episodes run over an hour.

Game Of Thrones Season 8's First Two Episodes Aren't Extra Long

Adidas has revealed their latest Ultra Boost 4.0 range, comprising six running shoes all inspired by the families and themes from HBO's smash-hit show Game of Thrones. The longest episode of the series is season seven's The Dragon and the Wolf, which ran 80 minutes. The second episode of the season is listed as 58 minutes long. The general feeling is that the run time of the entire season is not enough to possibly get through all the content which needs to feature in this final season of the show. "I'm very satisfied with that, and I think that the fans will be satisfied with that, too". That's 2 full-length movies if you look at it that way and I am sure that length of time is all they needed or they would have taken more time to tell the story.

Are you excited for Game of Thrones? It is important for us, we spent 11 years elaborating this (.) We also know that however it ends, even if it's the most optimal version, a number of people will hate the best of all possible versions.

That remark echoed what Thrones sound designer Paula Fairfield noted about the impending season 8 episodes. If we compare this to most shows on network TV, then the first two episodes are comparable to an hour-long show with no ad-breaks.
