Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill part of police investigation in Overland Park

Hill's fiance, Crystal Espinal, was included among "others involved".

KCTV in Kansas City, Missouri, was among the outlets reporting on a battery investigation involving a child stemming from a call to Hill's home in Overland Park, Kansas, on Thursday. Hill is not named in the second report.

"The club is aware of the investigation involving Tyreek Hill", the team said in a statement given to the paper. Sources close to the situation indicate that Hill and Espinal's 3-year-old son is at the heart of the issue.

FOX4-WDAF has reached out to the district attorney and the Chiefs for comment but has not heard back yet at this time.

As of Friday afternoon, Hill has not been charged with a crime.

The Star obtained a police report indicating the incident in question involves a juvenile. Espinal, according to the Star, is now pregnant with twins.

According to KCTV5 in Kansas City, police were also called to Hill's home in regards to a report of child abuse or neglect, which police closing the report three days later. That would surpass the contract for Odell Beckham Jr., who became the highest-paid wide receiver in National Football League history when he signed a five-year, $90 million extension with the New York Giants in August 2018. He was given three years of probation and ordered to undergo anger management classes. The domestic violence conviction was dismissed and expunged from his record past year after he completed his probation requirements. The incident was expunged from his record in August 2018 after he completed probation requirements.

Hill transferred to West Alabama and was chosen by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2016 draft, a selection widely criticized given his history.
