Graham went on to say that he stands by Jussie Smollett, who has been accused of faking a hate crime against himself. He also added that his attackers shouted, "This is MAGA country", before dousing him with bleach and wrapping a noose around his neck.

The brothers are cooperating fully with their investigation and are no longer suspects, Chicago police said. Smollett later wrote a check for $3,500 to one of the brothers, prosecutors say.

Assistant state attorney Risa Lanier said at a news conference last week that Smollett even pointed out to the brothers a specific surveillance camera that he thought would capture footage of the January 29 attack.

The two brothers - who knew Smollett from working on Empire and attending the same gym - were arrested last month but were released after telling police about the alleged hoax.

Chicago Police Department Superintendent Eddie Johnson told Good Morning America earlier this week that Smollett "damaged" Chicago's reputation with his allegedly false claims.

Drake's father is speaking out in support of two very controversial celebrities: musician R. Kelly and "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett.

"This stunt was orchestrated by Smollett because he was dissatisfied with his salary", he told reporters after the actor was arrested. No video was found of the alleged attack.
