Game of Thrones Final Season Episode Lengths Officially Revealed

Similar to the debut episode, the 21st will air for 58 minutes. However, it does prove that the majority of the final episodes will be as long or a little longer, than the show's previously record-holder: Season 7's finale, "The Dragon and the Wolf", which clocked in at 79 minutes and 43 seconds.

Entertainment Weekly report that the network released the (North American) air dates and runtimes for each of Game of Thrones' six final episode. Episode three follows on Sunday, April 28 clocking in at longest, an hour and 22 minutes.

But now HBO has confirmed a small - yet significant - new detail: just how long the final season is actually going to be. Then, the 5th will be on for an hour and 18 minutes, while the 12th will be back up to an hour and 20 minutes.

Episode Six will air on Sunday, May 19 and be 1 hour and 20 minutes long.

Russell Westbrook unleashes profanity-laden tirade at fan after being provoked
I don't really mind the fan interaction, but not while I'm at work ... let me come to our office and yell in your ear like that. He said he was responding to a racial taunt, and not for the first time in Salt Lake City. "He can threaten me all he wants".

HBO has confirmed that the first two episodes of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones will be slightly shorter than the rest. Yet not quite the "feature film" length that some fans had been hoping for.

Much like Tyrion whenever he's let loose in a brothel, after the fake news emerged of the alleged run times for Season 8 of Game of Thrones, a few publications got a bit too excited and decided that this was gospel.

HBO has been pretty upfront with its plans to create a Game of Thrones prequel series, which is set thousands of years before the events of the current show and stars Naomi Watts in the leading role.

Either way, April 15 can't get here quick enough.
