The search engine giant is expected to follow in the footsteps of Samsung and Huawei that introduced their foldable phones during the recently concluded MWC (Mobile World Congress) that took place in Barcelona.

We just have to wait for more informations about this very interesting device, as Xiaomi has accustomed us over the years, it could revolutionize the newborn foldable smartphone market. The device is likely to have an organic LED (OLED) display.

You would expect in the future this would change, if foldable phones take off. It only mentions it's to be used in a "modern computing device".

In other words, if a Google folding phone is in the works, Google probably won't be in a hurry to reach the market with it, or use it to pioneer a unique Z-folding design.

We are three months into 2019 and there is enough evidence to support the fact that foldable phones are finally turning into a reality. The Pixel 3 was produced by Chinese company Foxconn, for example.
