Solange Knowles' new album is out!
When I Get Home is, at face value, a undeniable ode to Solange's own hometown of Houston, Tx., where it was recorded alongside a long list of notable collaborators. After teasing us with a random tracklist & asking fans to call her on a promotional 281 phone number, Solange decides to come through today and surprise fans with the release of a new album. Is this Solange's less-than-subtle way of hinting that there's a visual album coming?

Furthermore, the Times has revealed an "open letter" to Bezos that had been arranged for publication in the newspaper this Friday. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), who was vocal about her opposition and celebrated after the cancelation.
A love letter to her native Houston. "But with electronic and hip-hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle".
She then posted short videos with new music on BlackPlanet, Twitter and Instagram (one clip turned out to be the interlude "Nothing Without Intention"). Though none of the features are credited on the tracklist, the album boasts contributions from Tyler, the Creator, Gucci Mane, Playboi Carti, Devin The Dude, Panda Bear, Metro Boomin, Cassie, Earl Sweatshirt, Standing on the Corner and Chassol. "It asks the question how much of ourselves do we bring with us versus leave behind in our evolution".
To celebrate the release, Solange has also announced that a special event will take place across Houston's Third Ward on March 3.
