Reports a year ago indicated Cohen was trying to pitch a book, one favourable about President Trump, and that Cohen had an agreement with a Hachette Book Group imprint before his legal troubles ended the deal.
Cohen testified this week that he paid out hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels to cover up her alleged affair with Trump and then was reimbursed by the president. Cohen has said that he discussed the proposed development with Trump and his family members well into the 2016 presidential campaign.
Obviously, Cohen isn't the first person to call Trump a racist, but he does say Trump is "worse" behind closed doors. Multiple Democrat-led House committees are pledging to investigate not only Trump's campaign's ties to Russian Federation, which are also the subject of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe, but presidential conflicts of interest, possible money laundering and other oversight matters that Democrats say were ignored under GOP control.
"In Mr. Cohen's plea agreement with the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of NY, prosecutors specifically referred to Mr. Cohen's crimes for making state statements to financial institutions as "bank fraud", Meadows and Jordan continued".
"Everything he wanted to say about Trump was positive", one publisher allegedly told reporters.
Cohen's testimony was also followed closely by state prosecutors in NY.
During the seven-hour hearing, Cohen also said that Trump lawyers Jay Sekulow and Abbe Lowell falsified his White House-approved statement to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow during the 2016 campaign.
This is the 18,000mAh battery phone you probably didn’t ask for
As you can see in the pictures, it's a brick of a phone that's nearly entirely battery, with an 18,000mAh power pack inside. Makes sense for Energizer to do the same and so they show cased two devices to the press with hands on and everything.
Two of Trump's most vocal defenders, GOP Reps.
"While testifying under oath, Mr. Cohen made what appear to be numerous willfully and intentionally false statements of material fact contradicted by the record established by the Justice Department in United States v. Cohen, 18-cr-602 (S.D.N.Y.) (WHP)", the letter continues.
Cohen's testimony unfolded as Trump was in Vietnam meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
"It was a very productive interview today, where he was able to shed light on a lot of issues that are very core to our investigation, and we were able to drill down in great detail", Schiff said, adding that he intented to publicly release transcripts of Cohen's testimony "at the appropriate point". When asked if Cohen appeared to be more credible during this appearance, Intelligence Committee Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell (Calif.) said that Cohen appeared "liberated". "And I said, I wonder why he didn't lie about that, too, like everything else".
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, a Democrat, said Cohen would return for further questioning on March 6 to give lawmakers another chance to follow up on allegations of wrongdoing that Cohen leveled at his former boss this week.
During the hearing, Cohen said he had "direct evidence" that Trump or members of his 2016 presidential campaign colluded with Russian Federation to get Trump elected.
