If that wasn't enough to annoy Spotify, YouTube Music has signed a deal with all 3 major labels to stream their music in the region. YouTube Music is a re-imagined, made-for-music app and web player with official songs, albums, thousands of playlists and artist radio plus YouTube's catalog of remixes, live performances, covers and music videos.

Built on top of YouTube, YouTube Music is a music streaming service that brings a large library of songs. This offers extended features of YouTube Music Premium and just not music.

"To extend the features of YouTube Music Premium beyond the music app, we're also introducing YouTube Premium".

The price for the YouTube Music Premium is also much cheaper to what even Spotify is offering and that certainly brings a good competition to the music streaming service sector in India. And the plus point for most users probably is that if they're already Google Play subscribers, then the YouTube Music subscription is free. YouTube Music Premium subscription will allow the users to play songs and videos in the background with the YouTube Music app while they do other things on their smartphones, something that is not available in standard YouTube experience. With this new release, the music lovers will be able to play more with minimum charges. Samsung Galaxy S10 users can avail four months of free, ad-free access to YouTube Premium.

This will include access to YouTube Original programming like Cobra Kai, BTS: Burn The Stage, and others, and ships with the Music Premium subscription for ₹129 rupees per month. Nearly all of these services, except Amazon Music, have paid plans starting Rs. 99. The company's also launching YouTube Premium for Rs. 129 ($1.85) per month: it unlocks access to ad-free YouTube and YouTube Originals, along with YouTube Music. You don't need to pay individually for the access of premium videos, the YouTube Premium service will give you full access to all YouTube videos.
