Cardinals have yet to make a decision on the No — GM

No surprise here with quarterback Kyler Murray flying off the board first to the Arizona Cardinals.

The Giants are very much in the market for a quarterback to replace 38-year-old Eli Manning, who "figures" that general manager Dave Gettleman will add a young quarterback at some point during draft weekend.

Now, that might not be as certain.

The only first-round pick out of UGA that Brugler predicted was lock-down cornerback Deandre Baker, who is seen by many as one of the top cornerback prospects in this draft class.

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona Cardinals may be on the clock with the first pick in next week's National Football League draft, but with nine days left until the first round begins, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said a decision on whom Arizona will pick has not been made. On Tuesday, Keim was asked whether he's ever spread misinformation himself.

If Murray gets past the Cardinals, the Giants may have an opportunity to land him. Look no further than the 2017 move from No. 2 to No. 3 overall with the Chicago Bears, which ended with the Niners getting the player they wanted in the first place, defensive end Solomon Thomas. If the Cardinals were the only team interested in him, why wouldn't they just wait until the second round to take him? "I like to do deals", Keim said. Keim, for his part, said he learned long ago it made little sense to force any draft picks down a coach's throat, since it inevitably causes a problem for the player as soon as he arrives. This deal would essentially give the Jets back the picks that they traded the Colts previous year to move up for Darnold.

Likewise, this trade would allow the Giants to keep pick No. 17 to take the best available pass rusher or offensive tackle while landing the premier quarterback.
