Leafs' Kadri to have in-person hearing for Game 2 cross-check

Mike Augello - Boston to step up physical play in Game 2; Leafs vs. Bruins

Leafs' Kadri could face suspension for high hit

It will be Kadri's second playoff suspension in as many years. The Pens are down 2-0 to the New York Islanders as their series moves to the Steel City.

Now they have the Tampa Bay on the ropes and are enticingly closer to winning the first playoff series in franchise history.

To avoid an 0-2 hole heading to Scotiabank Arena for Monday's Game 3, the Bruins will try to key on neutralizing Leafs winger Mitch Marner.

Bergeron scored on the ensuing power play at 15:03 as the Leafs now turn their attention to Game 3 _ likely without Kadri. The much-maligned Toronto blue line, led by trade deadline acquisition Jake Muzzin and his Stanley Cup experience, as well as Freddie Andersen, shut down the B's. Several said they hadn't yet seen play in question.

"I think that's up to the league to decide to be honest", DeBrusk said. "It's a series for a reason. It's tough, it just hasn't gone our way right now". "I was already committed to the hit", Kadri said at the time.

The Bruins left the Maple Leafs battered after the first period of Game 2 in taking a 2-0 lead, and not just figuratively speaking. They know it's not an insurmountable deficit.

"Their intensity was at a different level", said Toronto head coach Mike Babcock, whose team won the opener by the same 4-1 score. We've got to match that intensity. Kadri's status is also in question, as the 10-year veteran, who has spent his entire National Hockey League career in Toronto, will likely face a suspension for his actions. Boston scored one goal in Game 1 and allowed 4.

The Fight Over Abortion In Ohio: Where Does It Go From Here?
The bill does include an exception to save the life of the woman, but no exceptions for cases of rape or incest. DeWine's signature makes OH the fifth state to ban abortions after the first detectable fetal heartbeat.

The Jets' confidence is not shaken after losing each of the first two games of the series by one goal.

"There's been a few road teams that have pulled off a couple victories and heading home with two in the bank", Kadri said after the morning skate. I didn't see it and haven't reviewed because it was down the wall from us.

"I'm not sure there is an answer", Kadri said regarding how to stop Marner. Now, maybe in the end, when you look at it and it says 4-0 or 4-1, you didn't think it was competitive, but usually every game is ultra-competitive.

Krug did not return, but the Bruins scored just 11 seconds later when William Nylander inexplicably lost the puck at the side of Toronto's net, leaving an easy tap-in for Heinen behind a helpless Andersen at 10:39.

"He's a great one-on-one player just to be able to free up his linemates and get open and create opportunities, because he can create chances just with his feet and his hands". Kadri was not made available after the game.

Boston was certainly expecting more snarl from its forwards in Game 2. With under six minutes remaining, Kadri cross-checked Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk in the head/face and was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct. You're physical. Win the puck battles.

"We knew they were going to come hard", Toronto centre John Tavares said. "Too many times, we'd pass".
